This is a very quick study of a Rufous-capped Warbler. After a heavy morning rain, Cricket and I hiked Florida Canyon in search of this bird. It dried out quickly and became extremely hot by 9 o-clock. As well, the “trail” was often hard to follow. Over holders, and tangled roots we clambered up for 4 hours and finally, when were about to give up, we found it! Also present were four species of Bunting… but that’s another story.
