Initial work on the White-throated Sparrow is now officially complete. Now begins the slow, hard stuff… The back and wing covert pattern is complicated and worth taking one’s time on… I’m going to try not to over-emphasize the intricacies, but I do want to suggest them. The focus will, and SHOULD be, on the face and eye of my subject, but I want the rest of it to look authentic and identifiable. The dark strokes I’ve added are the beginning of the final plumage. This will progress very carefully from this point.
