Getting two sketches to “agree” is not easy, and you can probably see evidence of that in the photoshop composition of male and female Evening Grosbeak for the ABA Bird of the Year contest. My mood was different, as was my angle of stroke. Still, I like both drawings, and the composition seems good. I just wish I’d spent as much time on the male as I did the female. Maybe there’s a way of “fixing” the male… or maybe I’ll need to redraw.
